It's amazing what I learn about PayPal from spoof letters.

Hello Sir/Madam,

Founded in 2005, PayPal, an
eBay Company, enables any individual or
business with an email address to securely,
easily and quickly send and
receive payments online.

PayPal always look forward for the security purpose of their clients.

Therefore, PayPal is proud to announce about
their new updated secure
system. We updated are new SSL servers to
give our customers a better,
fast and secure service.

Due to the recent update of the servers, you are requested to please
update your account info at the following link.

If ever someone falls victim to this letter, I hope they use the money to buy themselves English lessons. And also, I hope they send the victim a dictionary with the word "gullible" in it.

Come on, Loop, "gullible" isn't in the dictionary! Everyone knows that!

Look it up if you don't believe me. ^_^

I got a paypal phishing mail the other day that used a real PayPal mail, precisely, as template; only adding their bit (telling you to log in to their phishing site and give your password and details) near the start.

Which meant that shortly *after* that text was PayPal's standard disclaimer 'we will never ask you for your password or personal details in an email'. :)

I doubt it affected their success rate, but...
